Dresdan Files Books Vs. TV Show on Sci-fi Channel

I love to read and thanks to the women over at the club mom book club I was introduced to The Dresdan Files by Jim Butcher.  I am almost done the series and love it.  I even got my husband into it.  So we were really excited when we found out the Sci-Fi channel was starting a series based on the books.  Well I have seen the first two episodes and I have mixed feelings about the tv series. 

 I figured that they were just going to take the main character, Harry Dresdan, and make up new stories for him that would fit neatly into hour long episodes.  The stories were fine but I was very disappointed in some of the things they changed about Harry.  Like the car he drives, where he lives, and the fact that modern electronics sometimes go haywire when he is around.

Just wondered if any of you other ladies out there who have read the novels have seen the tv show and what you think of it.

Feb. 1, 2007 at 1:31 PM THAT WAS THE SHOW I WAS WATCHING AT LIKE 2AM.....IT WAS WEIRD BUT KINDA COOL. (i havent read the books and I was just sort of stopped on it at first, then i got all interested...)
