I'm so frustrated and just need to vent a little...

Medi-cal can be somewhat confussing at times, my worker had told me before that I can't see a doctor, but I had to get my due date to her. Then I got info in the mail saying that Danial was still eligible, but nothing about me. Later I got a card, so I had no idea whether or not I had medi-cal. I went to the clinic to get a due date for my insurance, then they told me I have a doctor. I found out that my medi-cal was fine and that I have a doctor from a clinic.

I went to see the primary care doctor so they could send my pregnancy info in for me. I found out Tues. that I was finally approved an obgyn, but for some reason even though I live like a block from Fountain Valley hospital, they gave me a doctor for Garden Grove hospital (that's also where my primary care is, which I need to see about changing). They still haven't approved if I can go to Fountain Valley or not, I just hope that everything works out fine. When I had Danial my water broke and it was about a month early, so I'd much rather go to the hospital that's right by my house. I just don't understand why this has to take so long. I'm like 3 months pregnant and I haven't seen a doctor yet! They said they'd put in the notes that it's urgent (especially since I've thrown up blood a few times).

Well, just needed to get this off my chest, it's like this big stress hanging over me and sometimes it's nice to just get it off my chest. I'll update you guys later.

Aug. 9, 2007 at 6:29 PM The run around from them is awful. I had the same problem when I was pregnant with KC. I finally found out I was still covered under my parents plan about a month before my due date. They were supposed to send all my records over to St. Joseph's but never did. They had my due date wrong (by two weeks!) and when I had KC we had to spend an extra day at the hospital because they didn't have any paperwork from my previous visits. Hope it gets resolved soon!! ((Hugs))
