Last night we had Jack till almost 6, my boys were crabby and hungry by that time, I just threw in some frozen pizzas.  Then my boys wanted to go right back outside.  Not a problem!  So we all go out to play and do some yard work.

Dan cleaned out the pool and filled it back up again and was picking up some sticks in the yard (wearing no shoes) when he stepped on a bee.

MInd you he is allergic to bees and doesn't have any insurance right now.

Luckily it was a very small bee and wasn't a wasp or hornet, he is most allergic to them.  So he went inside to take some benadryl and to ice his toe (the little middle one) while I gathered up the boys to go inside so that I could keep an eye on him.

He hasn't been stung since he found out he was allergic the summer after he graduated high school.  I was off at collage at that point and never really knew what all happened when he got stung, I just knew that his mom took him to the ER and he usually now has an epi pen.  This time his epi pen had expired at the beginning of the summer.

Well, he was breaking out in a sweat and hives and his little toe was bigger than his big toe so I was telling him we should take him to the ER and he just kept saying that if we went there they would just keep and eye on him so we waited, it took a little over and hour but he did come out of hiding (he was staying in a quiet dark room away from the screaming boys) and said that he was starting to feel better.

Me on the other hand was not.  They boys were worried about their daddy so they cried and screamed the entire time they couldn't see him, a little stressful for poor mommy!!!  So when Dan did come out, he still didn't really feel like playing like usual, usually they all wrestle and have their boy fun (preggo mommy isn't all that great for the rough housing).

So their nights were thrown off, put that on top of bad naps all week and getting up early and you have at least 2 over tired boys.  NOT GOOD.

When it came time to start putting them to bed Isaiah and Josiah both screamed bloody murder for about an hour and a half, thrashing around throwing things, hitting kicking, lovely little boys!!!  Elijah kept saying, "quiet boys, it's okay, daddy okay" he finally fell asleep on the couch holding my hand as I stood up holding Isaiah (who weighs 31 pounds) because it was the only way to get the screaming to stop!!!

Needless to say, I am still tired!!!

When Dan got up this morning I asked him how he was doing and he said his toe wasn't swollen at all but he was very sore everywhere.  I thank God that it wasn't any worse!!!

Aug. 10, 2007 at 11:10 AM That is so scary!!  I am glad he is fine.  It is cute though that your boys were so concerend with their daddies welfare.  I think the EPI pen would have still worked though.  I would get another one just in case though.  We have a ton of bees in our backyard. Needless to say I only take Lukas to the front yeard because I am so scared he will get stung.

Aug. 10, 2007 at 1:04 PM awww, you poor thing! That sounded so stressful! That is so sweet of Elijah, saying that Daddy was okay and holding your hand on the couch. So sweet! Isaiah and Aiden are the same in weight! LOL :) I'm glad that the bee sting wasn't as bad as it could've been! I hope your Friday goes better. :)
