A late night, free time journal entry~

 Wow, with all these cool new things you can do now on cafemom it's just amazing. I can't believe all the neat things that computers do now. Back in the day when you wanted to keep in touch you would write a letter with some stickers and pictures enclosed but nowadays the computer does that all for you. I still do write letters but it's quite seldom now.

  Right now it's late here but my Son finally went to sleep about 11:00 (I know) after not taking his nap  even though I tried to get him too. He is in his "NO" stage and his going to Daddy stage so I just let him stay up since he was enjoying his videos. My DH is sleeping as well from his hard working week. I'm just here messing with the computer thinking that I need to take some recent pictures to upload since I don't have any real recent one's up. 

  The weather here in South Florida has been quite hot and right now our air conditioner has been on the fritz. My hubby has been wondering what to do about that one but it's been only a couple days and we have been keeping cool by our one window cooler thing lol and having plenty of fans on.  

  I've been busy with my Son who will be turning 3 soon. I'm excited about his birthday this year and I think he will too soon enough. I'm just not excited to get the house and menu made up since his Grandparents will be coming over. He knows how to sing "Happy Birthday" now so he will enjoy his cake for sure this year. It will probably be a "Backyardigans" theme with a good ol' ice cream cake, yum! 

  So anyway, I've been feeling better now after last month when my Grandmother had passed on. She was a great person. She was like my Mom since I had been raised by her so it was hard. She was a beautiful soul with a pure heart. I've been thinking lately about getting a tattoo of a Hummingbird to have a little reminder of her on me (darn tattoo shows lol) but I'm  really wanting to think long and hard about the right design. It may be soon and it may be never but all I know is that I saw a Hummingbird that I had a connection with that visited me at the door of my Grandparents house soon after. It was a great experience that I want to capture somehow.

  So anyway, I'm gabbing away here now but I had just wanted to write this for all my friends here to read. You all take care and God Bless and I'll be over here on my cafemom page for all to come and visit whenever you want, smiles!

I think it is a awesome idea too...I had a similar experience myself w/ two golden eagles. I was very sick at the time. (ruptured appendix) A wonderful memory that I will never forget either. Thanks for sharing, I am sorry to hear about  your grandmother. Did you get the feeling of her presence when you saw the hummingbird?

Sep. 30, 2007 at 7:30 AM Where would you put the hummingbird tattoo? I think thats a neat idea, sorry girlfriend to hear about your grandma, I wish I could have met her to thank her for bringing up such a neat, wonderful lady!!
