come take a tour of the villagee of bonita louisiana population 300 people ok but i say around 100 people here in the village and about 50 houses when i moved here in may of 2001 it was from witchita kansas witch population is around 53 million people. here we have 1 pool hall/cafe, hardwear store 1 liquar store these r across the street from me. go 1/2 block to the left u come to hiway 165  witch goes to arkansas stay on 165 u will hit pine bluff then little rock in about 3 hours.there is no downt town here bt we do have city hall and the 2 man  police force a garage that houses our branch of the library that is 1/2 blocks away. to shop foor food or go to wal_mart u have to drive 20 miles to town that is where the scools r too. so i live out here with the rice fields ,corn fields, cotton feilds the cows and some horses there is a sweet potatoe farm amd when it rains alot the field in between the towns looks like a lake. so does my friunt yard for that matter. where do u live a large town? or a major city? or like me out here in the boonies? u all have a nice day

Aug. 11, 2007 at 3:31 PM I live in what is called "No Man's Land" it is in the Oklahoma Panhandle. We are the biggest town in the county having about 15,000 people, and that is just the ones that are legal...lol. We are surrounded by pig farms, corn and wheat fields. The only time there is excitement is during Pioneer weekends then our population almost triples. We have one high school, one jurnior high, one middle school 5 elementary schools, and one pre-K school. We have two bars, several places to eat out and finally a Super Walmart. But if we want to go shopping we have to go to Amarillo, Texas which is about 2 hours away or Oklahoma City which is about 4 hours away. But we do have the small town feel and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Currently we are in the boonies...  I live in what is called a township... meaning it is far enough away from a town, but not close enough to be considered part of the town.  The township has nothing, no gas station, no general store...  nothing, not even a zip code.  My address says I live in Zimmerman, but when someone asks where I live, they say I am in Livonia township...  We are about 15 minutes from the closest city big enough to find stores to find what ever you want...  Walmart, Target, etc., restaurants, specialty shops, etc.  We are about 45 minutes from the next major city (Minneapolis).  If you want a real job, you drive to the twincities.

If we ever get our house sold, we are moving to something similar, but the house is in a community unlike where we are now, we have a huge yard that is like a park, we have huge oak trees, wooded areas with just paths, a clearing with a bonfire pit, horseshoe pits, and still more space that just isn't used.

Aug. 11, 2007 at 4:46 PM I have the city life, south of Boston. I would not want to be in the boonies, but a tad quieter area. The roads are busy & driving into Boston really stinks!

Ok so I live in Agoura Hills, CA Population: 22,600

% population walk or bike to work

1.3%

Annual rainfall
(inches)         17.79

Racial diversity index
(100 is national average; higher numbers indicate greater diversity) 55.3

I live about 30 miles north of Los Angels airport.  LAX.

I have no wallmart.  I have very little chain stores and NO department stores like target.  Plenty of mom and pop shops which are so expensive.

I use to live in Thousand Oaks which is a population of well over 350,000.  I don't even notice the difference.  TO is about 10 minutes north of me. They do how ever have a mervins and plenty of chain restaurants, which I hate.

I live next to a top 100 city  about 20 minuts away

# 62
Moorpark, CA
      Population 33,700

I use to live in kraproom (Moorpark) but the % of imagrents to american citizans was not even fair.   I lived in a good area and I was the only one who spoke english.

Aug. 12, 2007 at 7:17 AM I live in a small town too, sounds a lot like yours. We have one traffic light, 2 cops (there are times when there's isn't even one on duty, in which case you have to call the state police if you really need a cop) We have one grocery store several bars, a post office, and a dollar store that everyone refers to as the "Albion Mall" Albion is the name of my town. When I first moved here from a bigger city 19 years ago I didn't know if I would like it because it was so far away from everything. Well now I wonder how I ever lived where I did before. Small town life is my kinda living
