What does the word say about a Christian's appearance?

1 Corinthians 11:3-15

3: But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4: Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. (for the man's head is Christ, therefore Christ is his covering, praying with another covering of any kind(spiritual or natural) dishonoureth Christ)
5: But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.(if a woman pray or prophesieth with her head uncovered having not long hair or Christ as her covering it dishonoureth her husband, Christ is also our husband,(she might as well be shorn/being without Christ)
6: For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. (if she have not long hair and Christ as her covering she dishonoureths her head, which is her husband)
7: For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.(for a man is not to cover his head(naturally or spiritually) with anything but Christ)
8: For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.(for man was created first, then the woman from the man)
9: Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10: For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.(the woman aught to have the power and glory of Christ on her head/as her head/covering , that she may not be seduced by the fallen angels as Eve was by Satan)
11: Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12: For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of god.
13: Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? (is it appropriate that a woman pray unto God with out her spiritual and natural covering, it is not)
14: Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?(for his long hair will become a covering, instead of Christ and will dishonor his head/Christ)
15: But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.( a woman's long hair is her covering in the natural, but also shows that she has the Glory of Christ in the spiritual, for Christ is her covering, as is also her husband)

Ladies in Christ, are to have a natural covering, this is our long hair, which is the Glory of our husbands.

Also in the spiritual, Christ also being our husband, our long hair represents the Glory of Christ and is our covering.

If a woman cuts off her hair, she cuts off her glory, and it is a shame unto her. The Catholics and Protestants wear a hat or handkerchief on their head instead, when they go to church or to pray. This should not be done, you are to let your hair grow. This is the difference between the righteous and the religious. This is the Word.

Isaiah 30:1

Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

Wearing your hair(down) is an intimate way to wear it and should only be seen of your husband. When a young girl becomes a woman, she should wear her hair up as a sign of maturity, not down and flowing as a young girl/maiden.

Deuteronomy 22:5

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.

We know that a woman's garment is a dress or dress like. If we were to find a man wearing a dress, it would be disgraceful, as well as an abomination before the Lord.

We know that a man's garment is a pair of pants or slacks, yet society accepts that a woman can wear this. This is against God's word as written above, therefore a woman should only wear that which pertaineth to a woman, a dress/skirt that she not become an abomination before the Lord. God made us different and we are to dress different.

1 Timothy 2:9-10

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness an sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

A woman may be innocent and pure before her husband, but if she leaves her house dressed in pants or dressed provocatively and a man looks at her with lust in his heart, this woman is guilty of adultery. This woman will answer for this at the day of judgment along with every man that lusted after her in his heart, whether it be one or many.

Matthew 5:28

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

On the day of judgment you say, "Lord, you know my heart; I never committed adultery; I lived true to my husband." But there stands one man or many that looked upon you with lustful hearts. You ask why is this my fault? Well, you did present yourself in that provocative manner? God told you not to wear pants and told you to dress moderately and to be holy before him. You did not listen.

A Christian woman should dress simple and modestly, as the word states. If you were to stand before God today, would you be confident in the way you are dressed. Would it be acceptable according to God's word.

This obedience is an example of how you will know them by their fruits. If a woman does not dress, or act like a lady according to scripture, then she is not of God. Neither does she know Him.

Proverbs 12:4

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

Also, a woman that is holy before God, you will know her by her fruits as well. You will see her devotion and obedience to God inwardly and also outwardly, living the scriptures as God has put forth. For she is holy and chasten before God. Her heart is right before Him, for she knows him and she knows where her treasure is.

Proverbs 31:10

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Leviticus 19:4

....Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am Holy.

Most will say that these are merely personal convictions. The Word says it is not. You cannot obey one part of the Scripture here and ignore another part of the Scripture there because it is not convenient for you or that you prefer to do it your way. We are to obey and live according to ALL of God's Word. If your heart is right before God, your appearance will be right also. Be a lady, dress like a lady, act like a lady, for God says, I am holy be ye holy also.

AND husbands, if you allow your wife to dress or behave immorally and not as she should according to God's Word, then you are just as quilty. Get your house in order!

Those of you confessing Christ and that love the Lord, get your lives and houses in order, lest the Lord come and find you sleeping and unaware!
