Introduction

I posted a few things about myself on my profile, but there's a lot more to me than what could be summed up in a few lines....therefore I decided to bore you with the details here.

As I mentioned, I'm a grandmother...which makes me a bit older than the average mom around here, I suppose. Though I did start out having children young so that should count for something.

I have 3 grandbabies: two girls (one nearly 6 years old & the other just barely 8 months) & one boy (4 years).

My oldest granddaughter will be going into the first grade this year.

I also have 3 kids, all grown (& mostly moved out). My only daughter is the mother of all of my grandbabies.

Enough about them, let's talk about me: (Insert laughing smiley)

I currently reside in North Carolina though I was born & raised in northern Virginia. I prefer NC as the pace is so much slower down here & I don't have to work as hard to keep up.

I'm an artist/writer so having a quiet area in which to do my work would be beneficial ....assuming that I still did any work.
I should say that I was an artist & a writer. I suppose I'm what some might call retired now....meaning only that I don't do much of anything creative these days.

I raised an autistic son up until he turned 20 years old & moved out (just like the rest of them, except that he lives with his one on one worker) which was quite a learning experience for both of us.

I'm trying to keep you interested by digging up a few fascinating facts about myself, though I seem hard pressed to do so...I don't seem to have enough "interesting" in my life to fill a page right now.

Ok, so that's not entirely true.
