Irregular heat beat.  The heart beat varies with breathing.  Is that what they said you had?  That explains your spells during heavy breathing activities.  It can just happen naturally or be a sign of heart disease of some sort.  Some of the causes are as follows. 

Maybe your doctor will do further testing.  I would lay off the caffine and alcohol if you consume much of it.  Until they can determine the cause.
