My First CafeMom Journal Entry

I will try to make this post short and sweet today. To be honest I have had a very long day. I had to be up at 6am just so I could be at work at 7am. My boss scheduled me to work today after I told her that I had my last before baby doctor appointment. That was scheduled for 8:30am (or so I thought...Tonight I discovered it was actually scheduled at 9:15am.). Either way it was her day off and no one else could cover it, so I was left to go in an hour early.

 Anyhow, everything went well with my appointment. This time next Wednesday I will officially be the mother of three boys (unless DH is right and we are having a girl instead). It was the first and only time I will have a physical exam for this pregnancy.  My doctor just tested for Strep B and to see how far along my cervix was (which at this point is only 1cm/30% effaced). Other than that the baby has a very strong heartbeat and is moving great. We talked about the actual procedure for my c-section (with my son Ernest I was so drugged up I don't remember half of the actual thing). Discussed what I am allowed to wear and bring and how my stitiching will be determined once he actually gets ready to perform the surgery. I am sure all will go well, just very nervous that's all.

 Now I am finally getting some rest after putting Little Ernest asleep. That little man has enough energy for 10 children.
