The potty training

   I have been going threw the potty training for about 3 months now. My daughter is 21/2 and she dosen't want any thing to do with the potty.

But all of a  sudden she has been coming to me and telling diaper change poop. I got so excited that she is now acknowledge that she has a dirty diaper that is allot because when you have a child that will not acknowledge that her diaper is messy she will sit in it till you ask her and the answer is always NO.

Well on Monday 12/11 she came to me and said " Me a big girl sit on big potty"now for me that is very important because her sister is 10 and it's been quite a few years seance I did the potty training.So I took her seat off from her potty chair and hooked it to the toilet and she felt like a big girl! I was so happy and she also has to sit their because she can't reach the floor to get off and run around.

To day I was writing this journal and I asked her if she had to go potty and ofcorse she said NO but I took her in and put her on her seat.I went to get the timer and I heard a ya!! from the bathe room and she said "I DID IT" I didn't believe her till I whipped her and she dribbled on the seat a little and She did that was her first time . So now it has just begone

Dec. 12, 2006 at 10:40 AM Congratulations! I was so happy whenever my daughter used the potty for the first time. She was about 2 1/2 too. I think letting them sit on the big potty really helps, that's what got my daughter to go. I just hope that my son will pick it up quickly when he's old enough.

Dec. 12, 2006 at 10:56 AM almost the same experience with my daughter...my son was SO easy to potty train. my daughter will be 3 in march and just NOW started going to potty all the time. you knkow I have realized that I just put her in reral panties...not diapers or pull ups...and go with it. i have had to clean up messes several times, but it never fails that in big girl panties, she can feel the wet and stops herself most of the time. we have been in big girl panties all day now for a whole week and have had only 1 accident. still pull ups at night tho just in case. good luck. it won't be long now. i think kids just do it whenthey are ready no matter what we do.
