Emma finally slept for four hours last night.  I just need to figure out how to get her to sleep through the rest of the night.

Aug. 31, 2007 at 8:49 AM I am glad to hear that you got 4 hours of sleep.  Wow I was so lucky my sonis a great sleeper.  i really feel for moms like you who do not get long amounts of sleep at one time.  I am a bear if I dont get atleast6 hours af sleep.  In the very beginning my son would wake up alot and my mom told me to keep the lights off and not to make eye contact with him.  Plus you can not say anything.  That was hard for me becuase I wanted to look at him and tell him I loved him every other second.  I really think it did help though.  He realized he was not really hungry and mom was not very exciting so he slept.  Maybe it will help with you little cutie.  Keep me updated.

Sep. 19, 2007 at 11:33 AM I have twin girls that are three and a half months old now and are sleeping about 10 hrs.  At two months they were sleeping about seven.  I try to feed them every three hours during the day and I've heard many moms say that it helps their babies sleep longer at night.  Also, try putting on a diaper one size too big at night so it can hold a little more.  Just hang in there, it'll happen!

My daughter started sleeping thru the night around 3 or 4 months old. Her doctor told me before her bed time, feed her, purp her, change her, then put her in her bed and let her cry her self to sleep. Ever since she has been sleeping thru the night. I knwo the feeling about not sleeping thru the night, My son did not start sleepign thru the night until after his first b-day. My first kid and the doctors where i was living never told me to let him cry at night. So I was feeding him to sleep. Well Izzy's doc told me that if i feed her to sleep then she will wake just for the feedings during the night. The first night was hard on me, she cried for like 45 minutes. But now at 7 months old, I put her in her bed with a toy and with in 10 minutes she is out for the rest of the night. So try that. let me know it goes.
