Making A Bed!

I absolutely adore my daughter. She is a very smart girl. She was always in the gifted classes and now the AP classes. But, when it comes to common sense, well, that is another thing!

One day after doing her own laundry, she had to make her bed. She came into the living room and asked me to come to her room. She told me there was something wrong with the sheets. That they did not fit right. She has a loft bed, which I hate. I had to climb up her bed and see what was wrong. When I got up there, she had the top of the fitted sheet on the long side of the bed. I just rolled. I told her what was wrong. Her excuse, "I thought the stripes went the other way". I told her she better make an excellent income and hire a maid after college. Love my child, but lacking in home skills! I have tried and tried, she just doesn't like it. I pick and choose my battles. I would rather her fumble with making a bed then struggle in school!
