The SPP, The Security and Prosperity Partnership, is having its summit in Canada this week. President Bush was in attendance. What is the SPP? Supporters of the SPP state it will "boost co-operation on security, trade and public-health issues between Canada, the United States and Mexico."

Ron Paul, a candidate running for president,  has another view.  He states,

"The SPP was not created by a treaty between the nations involved, nor was Congress involved in any way. Instead, the SPP is an unholy alliance of foreign consortiums and officials from several governments...The real issue is national sovereignty. Once again, decisions that affect millions of Americans are not being made by those Americans themselves, or even by their elected representatives in Congress. Instead, a handful of elites use their government connections to bypass national legislatures and ignore our Constitution – which expressly grants Congress the sole authority to regulate international trade.... The ultimate goal is not simply a superhighway, but an integrated North American Union – complete with a currency, a cross-national bureaucracy, and virtually borderless travel within the Union. "

So I stumbled across this video of police "provocateurs" trying to incite violence among the peaceful protesters at the SPP summit. It made me angry. I thought there were two underlying questions that should be addressed:

1 Should the US merge with Canada and Mexico thus dismantling our national sovereignty?

2. Why are the police inciting violence at peaceful protests? Will this illusion of violence help give the government a reason to infringe on our rights as Americans?

Well I hope that this post will help to inform some moms about this issue. I agree this is a terrible idea. Does anyone else know where their candidate stands on this?

The SPP, is RIDICULOUS!! I can't believe ANY American would support this. They are disolving our

+boarders, this is a very scary issue. And the cops don't even get me started on that!! We are so unfree now that the police need to send police into a PEACEFUL protest.

Aug. 23, 2007 at 2:21 PM Unbelievable!!!  This needs stopped.  They were peacefully protesting.  We need to secure our borders.  I DO NOT want a North American Union... that is in the works.  I want America to stay a sovereign nation.  We should not ever become united with Mexico and Canada and unless the American people stand up and say something it is going to happen.

Yes,  the SPP in definitely in the works. Guiliani is a major player in this deal. I am still looking into the other candidates as well.

As for the protesters, luckily they realized what was going on and called the undercover police out. To think that these undercover agents were going to start throwing rocks so that the other police(the ones equipped with riot gear) could move in and break the protest up as well as arrest non-violent protesters.

Are there any moms out there that have attended protests where they have seen such harsh actions taken by the police?

Change agents need chaos.  If no chaos can be found, just create it!
