So yesterday was my first official day as a stay at home mom. Wow...It is weird being at home all day. I loved it but it was weird. I kept stressing myself out trying to get the dishes and things done. I was in 'Going to work soon' mode. Then I realized...I don't have to work tonight...or tomorrow night...or ever. When my husband and I first found out I was pregnant with Samantha we decided I would quit my jo when she was born and be a stay at home mom. Then Jeff was in a serious car accident and nearly died. That swept that plan off to the side for a very long time. Now he is doing great and has a great job. We finally decided we didn't need my income and here I am...trying to find my way through this new and exciting way of life. I was raised by a stay at home mom but it's still a lil scary to think its going to be my and my two year old all day everyday. I guess I'll be praying alot:)

to figure out what to do w/ yourself and when to do things around the house check out http://flylady.net .  I just love her!!!  My messy house is comming under control!  She is helping me learn how to do things by routine and building those routines.  This will be SO important for when we start to homeschool.  Her website is free.

I know this journal post is old... but it's so cool to know there's another mom in Alpena who's going to homeschool. And I just can't understand how a mother can work! How would you get things done! I only get about an hour a day at most to play online and talk to other moms... and I only have one. Kudos to those who can juggle working, but I'd be afraid I'd never be able to build a good relationship with my daughter. My soon to be DH wants me to work (only on payday when we realize how broke we are) but the thought alone stresses me out.
