The countdown begins

So here we are with in 63 days of dh leaving for a year and still no follow on orders.  I know that ds and I aren't leaving for another year, but it would be great if we had some inkling of an idea of where we might be going.  I'm really hoping that we don't get sent back here to MInot, since I absolutely hate to be cold, but I have an icky feeling that is what might happen.  Oh well I'll make the best of a bad situation and keep on keeping on.  We have some pretty good neighbors, and some great friends here though, plus my Mom moved here shortly after we did so it won't be that bad, but I keep thinking about those sub-freezing temps and not being able to grow the things that I want to.  Hopefully we'll know something soon.

This is like the old & the new.  We are retired USAF-ret 1981--and we never knew where we were going until time to come back--10 to 15 days, even.  When were in Germany, we cleared houing & were in Guest Quarters, waiting on the big bird, and still didn't know.  Found out 3 days before--or so we thought, as they changed again.  That is just part of the fun, I guess.

My son is Active Duty AF and has been at Moody in GA; Nellis; Korea; &  is now at Tyndall (Panama City, FL) and plans to retire there.  Hewas born on an AF base, graduated HS, so he was just  pre-destined to be in the AF & it has been pretty good to us all
