I remember holding Ale & Milo in my arms and telling my husband... Baby, I can't wait for the day they say "I love you mommy". I looked in their eyes with amazement knowing that ONE day they would be old enough to go to school. It seemed so faaarrrrrr away as I held them in my arms and just inhaled their baby smells.

Well yesterday was Orientation for Pre-School. Ale is 4, Milo is 3 and they both will be going into the same school just accross the hall from eachother. Rudy and I held their little hands as they introduced themselves to their teachers. Ale was comfortable, he talked up a storm and made sure to tell his teacher about his names. "My name is Alejandro, Ale or Alex, but I don't like Alex. Lots of boys are called Alex. My favorite name is Ale. Awwww already showing signs of individuality. Milo liked Ale's classroom. They played as I talked to the teacher and filled out all those forms. "Are you ready for school?" I looked at Ale, wondering what he would reply and I noticed Mrs. Smith talking to me. I smiled. I just was thinking of how fast they grow up. She must have seen the pensive look on my face.

Than it was Milo's turn to meet his teacher. He on the other hand is my stubborn one and I had no idea how he would react. At first when my hubby asked if he was ready to meet his teacher. He screamed out,    "NO TEACHER". She easliy convinced him to come towards her with an inviting smile and some gummy lifesavers. Ahh the power of candy. She asked his name and he replied while flexing his arms. "I'm SHARKBOY" Everyone giggled as he pointed to his mohawk. He was okay after that.

I just can't believe they are in school already. I looked at the school supplies list. All I saw as my tears started welling up was Crayons, and Kleenex... Is this why they ask for kleenex?

Aug. 31, 2007 at 11:40 PM Eli has orientation and his first day for 3 yr. old preschool next week.  He's my stubborn, obstinate one, too.  If he doesn't like it, he lets you know! Here's hoping our first day goes as well as yours!
