You're a princess?!!! I didn't get that memo!

Ugh!  I am all for women being confident, but when they think that they are a princess, they need to get over themselves!!!  I work at a "retail store" part-time and I work the fitting room section.  There was a "princess" who came to the fitting room and asked if we carry any yoga pants.  I told her we did at one time, but that if we had anymore, we would either have put them on clearance or moved them to another part of the workout section.  Mind you, that section is approximately a 13x13 area if that, in front of the fitting room.  I only work there part time and new clothing comes in alot of the time anyway.  Ok, getting back to the "princess,"  She bluntly asked me, "well if you don't know, can you find someone who does?"  Getting a bit steamed and being I am the employee, I try to find someone.  Nobody will answer the walkie to help me and during this time, she takes in a couple of items and slams the dressing room door.  When she comes out, I tell her we do not have anymore, because it's evident based on the size of the area and such and there is no where else we would have any.  She said, "well you had some at one time," (this was over a month and a half ago) and I explained to her, "yes we did, but do not have any now."  She says, "ok, well do you have any jackets to match these pants that I have found," and I tell her "no, we do not have any."  She then proceeds to ask me, "can you show me some more jackets then?"  Again, this area is 13x13 and I show her a few and explain to her that we have many styles throughout.  She then "strongly" asks me, "did you just start working here or have you just worked here a long time and are burned out?"  What a witch!!!  That of course is putting it nicely.  I tell her I am still new, which I have been there 2 months and am still learning how they do things within the area as far as new clothing and such.  I also explain to her that we are always getting in new clothing everyday.  She says, "it's not your fault, I just really need someone to help me today."  AS IF I WASN'T TRYING TO HELP HER!!!!  Is she kidding me!!!   I thought to myself after she left, "this is not Rodeo Drive sweet heart, we do not have personal shoppers here to rent out," and secondly, "I can't just magically create clothing you want because it is not available to you!"  I actually cleaned up my thinking a bit...lol...anyway, well that is my story and all I can really do is laugh at her!  Does she really think she's all that?!!! Guess so!...LOL

Well be prepared when you are in that type of business you will meet woman each and everyday whom do think they are all that but depending on what type of retail chain it is if a high end be prepared more times than not and they are use to getting EXCELLANT CUSTOMER SERVICE , Nordstoms etc will provide top notch and cater to the customers.. So it depends where you work and if it is a hgh end store you did fine with me it seems... All you can do is your best period and if you dont know always ask.. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet irregardless if you want to kick theri butt or not lol lol Some can be real snooty and what can you do but smile ....
