Ok so I am not babysitting this season it just wasn't working out. The parents are soo absentminded that they gave my kids head lice twice and then tried to give it to them a third time. That was the last straw. The rid that I bought to take care of the problem cost us more than I was being paid. It is just not worth it. They will have to find some other sucker to watch their daughter.
So instead I would like to start a cleaning business. Just start with one or two houses a week. I have never done this before, has anyone else. I am going to talk to my sister-in-law later to day to find out what she charges and what she includes in her services.
Do any of you have a similar business that you could provide me with some tips or advise?

I just gave mine up as hubby took a transfer. Pricing is different in every area, so I am no help there. However, I can tell you what I did. I did a lot and got paid for it. Some people couldn't afford the whole service, so I was flexible with what I did.
Bedrooms, living areas- cobweb, dust(pick up and move things) no ladders only head high. dust sides and legs of furniture and ceiling fans, mini-blinds and window sills, vac.
Bathrooms-cobweb, Scrub Free on showers and Tub, Mirrors, Toilet, Cabinet and counters, polish all fixtures, floors
Kitchen- Cobweb, Cabinets as far as I could reach from floor, countertops, sink, stove, front of appliances and inside microwave, eating table and chairs including legs, sweep and mop floor.
Most of my homes were a minimum of 3200 square feet (max 5000) so it took anywhere from 4 to 6 hours to clean. Hope this helps you a bit.
