So yesterday was the first day of school for both my boys. We had to get up at 5am and take  Daddy to the train one last time. He will be starting new job next week (no travel). Matthew and I did go back to sleep. Everything went really smooth getting them ready. I was really worried cause this the first year they both go all day. It went good. Matthew's bus comes first then Caleb's right after. It kind of trips up the other parents who don't have 2 kids going to different school.

So my first day to myself. I cleaned. I went to Target to get some last minute supplies and cleaning stuff. It was nice to not be begged to go to the toy isle. I went to the grocery store to pick up some things. Nice not to hear Mom, Mom look at that Transformers are on those crackers Mom can we get them. (LOL). Then I came home and got busy. I loaded the dishwasher. I cleaned both bathrooms. I mopped all the floors. I also got the laundry done, and put away. It is amazing what you can accomplish when the kids are not under foot. I love them to pieces but it was time for the break. They also needed the break from each other.

Caleb came off the bus first. I said how was your first day he said GREAT. He really likes his new teacher. Which we were worried about because he really loved his teacher from last year and wasn't really wanting to go to third grade. She has the Star Wars Dictionary( +10 cool points), The first 5 Harry Potter books, and Spiderman books. She also is offer a treat to the the kids that bring all their paperwork back by the end of the week. So of course I filled everything out and had it ready for him. Caleb also was happy because he got to play with is BF on recess. He was also really impressed with his friend because he was in his boy scouts uniform. I may have to look into boy scouts.  I thought it was really sweet how he admired his friend.

Matthew was pretty quiet it is always harder to get information from him. He did say he had a good first day. He got a happy note sent home and he was pretty proud of that. He also had a friend from his class last year in his class this year. His favorite part of school was lunch (LOL).

I made one mistake with their lunches. I gave Caleb, Matthew's sandwich which he didn't like. Matthew didn't mind though. Today though I made sure that I didn't mess up.

All in all it was a good day for everybody. They called their grandparents and told them about their day. They called their Dad and told him about it. Hope everyone else enjoyed their first day back.
