So, if you all read my last post, my son had the stomach flu last week which meant that he didn't eat much that week either. Stsrting yesterday, my husband and I cannot believe the amount of food this little guy can take in! Last night at Chili's, he had an entire kids chicken fingers meal (he's only 14 1/2 months old) about 10 french fries (the only other thing we could give him) and two slices of steak from my husband's fajitas. Today for lunch, he engulfed a chicken dog in less than 3 minutes and SCREAMED when I had to put his plate in the fridge to cool the mac 'n cheese, He ate about 3/4 cups of mac 'n cheese and still wants more. Also, he gets nila waffers at church and they give him quite a bit. So, now at home, he stands at the cupboard (since that's where they're kept) and screams for snacks. Where has this eating monster come from? Our friend said that he'd be a linebacker at birth...I'm beginning to think he's right!!!

Feb. 6, 2007 at 3:25 PM Well, he is a boy, and he´s probably going through a growth spurt, so he might be super hungry for awhile. My kids have done this to me. Esp my five year old son, I remember days when he would not stop eating, and then he would hardly touch anything for days sometimes. I guess it is all a part of being a child - I asked my mom and she said my brother was the same way....eating her out of house and home. I guess if he's acting hungry, let him eat, but when he screams talk to him and let him know that is not the way to ask for something..my second daughter loved to scream when she didn't get something as soon as she asked for it! I asked her, Do you want this? and she would nod or say yes, and then I would tell her, Can you ask nice? and most of the time she did...but there are always times when they will have a complete meltdown!

Feb. 6, 2007 at 5:50 PM Are you kidding me? Aiden has been like that since day 1!!! Hahahaha! Austin is probably going through a growth spurt and plus he's feeling better. My doc always has said, "If your baby is hungry, then feed him." Their bodies are different than ours. They eat because they are hungry and need it. As for us, at least me, I eat sometimes because I'm bored or anxious, or just have a taste for something in particular. You know? Silly little boy- I miss him! How are you doing? I hope you didn't catch what PJ and Austin had. Hope to talk to you soon cause I MISS MY FRIEND!!!!!
