Dec. 14, 2006 at 10:25 AM I'm a SAHM of 4 and my husband works a lot too!  Guess that's why we are on this website....noone in our house to talk to except children!!  My  younger 2 are getting a little older now, so it is much easier now then it was 2 years ago.  Trust me, it'll go so fast that you'll look back on these days and realize they weren't so bad.   Somehow we just keep going because we have no choice!!!

Dec. 14, 2006 at 10:39 AM It will get easyer for him I am sure. My hubby worked a big project over the summer and was never home and worked all 7 days. He now works his 5 days but still comes home like two hours late everyday. I hate waiting on him at supper time. It does get better but some time it takes a while.

Dec. 14, 2006 at 10:45 AM Haha....my hubby is military....he has a screwy schedule..such as last week he was working from 9 at night till 7-8 in the morning, most of the time, later...this week, he works days which isnt bad...5 in the morning and he has been home by 3...next week tho, he works nights which is 3 till whenever they decide he can come home..and he last squadron, he would go in at 3 in the afternoon, be there till around 8 the next morning.  I hate it, but like one mom said, thats why we are here...no one else to talk to that speaks our lanuage..lol.  Im a stay at home mom of 4 ranging in age of 9 to 8 months.  Hope it gets better for u.

Dec. 14, 2006 at 10:48 AM It will get better. My husband leaves early then when he gets home he workd here to. So sometimes it feels like you are doing it all yourself. I found that if you let them know what your needing it might help.  I also joins Moms club in my area to give my children and myself time out of the house with other mothers and children.

Dec. 14, 2006 at 10:50 AM I used to be that mom... My advice first cherish it as long as you can,  I am now a single mom of two.  I work part time and I am also a fulltime student,  I miss watching my kids go through the day to day.  Secondly find a hobby.  My husband worked alot also and we only had one car. Talk about driving you crazy lol  Be sure to make time for yourself.  Whether its nap time or 20 minutes in a book.  SAVE YOUR SANITY  Good Luck.

Hi ((((((Momzilla3))))))
Well we all go thru it. Hence we go online and to websites like this. Yet another post said about getting a Hobby. I do lots of varied crafts. Plus I like to read which is what I do for my downtime. Now another thing I did when my kids were in school was get involved at their school. Or something like scouts or whatever extra curricular activities your kids are interested. Now if they are small, crafts come in hand. Then again too if you are near or live in a city, there may be things like library's museums and etc you can do for low cost or free on fees. I like to take my kids "Exploring" Finding places or just hiking in the woods or nearby areas of my home. So I wish you luck and lots of fun!:)

Have a great day!:)
