digital camera frustration

i took the kids to a picnic and zoo and later after the zoo somehow the pictures got erased.  let me back up a little, i [ut ,y camera in my purse set my pusrse in the back seat floor, it fell out onto the floor, then when i got home i cheked my camera to look at the pitures-it was empty.  i had checked it all day to make sure the p[itures were there and they were until then.can someone  please help me resurect what was lost.

They should still be there unless you deleted them yourself.I have a digital camera and mine don't delete unless I delete them.
