Tomorrow is the 6th anniversary of that awful tragedy on September 11, 2001 at the Twin Towers in NY City. I want everyone to remember that on that day, hundreds of sons and daughters lost their moms and dads, their grandparents, and their friends. Emergency personnel responded above and beyond their call of duty. Some lost their lives and other will never forget how their lives changed that day.
This country was raised in the belief that we need to support and depend on each other. Our people, who were so cowardly and viciously attacked, in a building that made up of trade factions to ease relations world wide was destroyed as a demonstration of power. And we fought back. We showed the world that this country is strong, independent and will be respected. We have taught our children to honor those who gave their lives for someone they did not know. We have taught ourselves to believe in each other. And we taught the world that we will NOT lay down without a fight.
Our children suffered that day. They learned all to fast that this a violent world and people do hurt each other. It's the thing that we mothers try to protect and sheild them from. Some of these kids lost their parents in that disgraceful show of force. Some lost their mothers. And I think we owe it to them to say something in their behalf. They need to know that are not forgotten, and they need to be reassured that they never will be.
Just for one day, let's remember our everyday hero's. And let's not past a judgement on our country for where we are now. Just for this one day, let's be thankful for us. Lets wave to a police officer, let's tip our hat to a fireman, lets say thank you to an ambulance driver. These are the people who are gonna be there when we need them the most. Because we are the lucky people and these are our everyday hero's.
