I went to my first Huskers game tonight. MIL and FIL watched Graham and we only got one phone call regarding the crying. Good stuff. I can't believe I am saying this...deep breath...
I LOVED going to the Husker game! I found myself cheering and in suspense through the whole game. Even though we lost, it was great.
I am the FURTHEST thing from a sports fan you can imagine. I spent an hour on my hair, makeup, and outfit (red sweater, denim skirt, knee high boots and gold hoop earrings).
I can't wait for the next one. Only next time, I am going to wear jeans and sneakers and a Huskers sweatshirt. I will still wear the earrings though. HELLO?! I still gotta be me.
Go Huskers!

That is so true! We left with 2:37 left on the clock so we could actually get onto Cornhusker Hwy and on our way over the bridge while we were walking to the car we heard "Touchdown Huskers!" Everyone around us just started laughing and rolling their eyes.
I might add here that the USC football team was for the most part, RUDE. The coaches wouldn't get off the playing field, the players argued with the refs, and they would dance on the field when they were supposed to be getting in formation. It wasn't fun dancing, or keeping warmed up dancing, it was "this game is cake" dancing. Rude.
Being from Lubbock, TX, I am a huge Texas Tech Red Raider fan, but my bf is the biggest Husker fan EVER. He has actually started to win me over and I find myself rooting for them. We went to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas last year. It was really fun and I think I could get use to cheering them on. Of course, both teams are "Big Red" so no one has to know for which I'm really cheering.
