Hubby said something that rubbed me the WRONG way...

So, I am a SAHM. We have 4 kids. During the week I am with the kids during the 40-50 hours he is at  work. Sometimes when he gets home, I will go to the grocery store, Wal Mart, or run errands. I generally try and leave a couple/or all of the kids home with him so I do not have to drag them around.

On the weekends, I do "Romance/Adult toy parties" Only 2 nights a week. He stays home with the kids while I do this. I make pretty good money doing these parties, and ENJOY getting out of the house without any kids! He does not complain about my 'job', because he knows I am good at it, the money is good, and I ENJOY it.

 Last night, during our "pillow talk" he says, "it seems like all I do is work and watch the kids. That is my life in a nutshell." HELLOOOO!!!! Mine too!

I guess it just rubbed me the wrong way. I am forever asking him if he wants me to get a sitter, he can go somewhere, or if we can go out and he just wants to sit home......I didn't even do any parties in the past 2 weeks (voluntarily), so I have no idea where this comment came from!!

Sep. 17, 2007 at 12:36 PM Totally know where you are coming from. You know the comercial from Johnson and Johnson that says "having a baby changes everything" well ideally it should change for both the mom and father.  Most of the time I am finding that the dad expects to have all the perks of fatherhood and leave the care of the kids to the mom.
