Do teenagers really lose their minds at 13?

My Daughter is a straight A student (ok I'm lieing she makes some B's but it feels good to say straight A's). She used to be a smart, articulate, respectful girl. But when she turned 13 her common sense flew right out the window. When will I No longer have to think "hmmmm, do she realize tht she's back talking me?" or "hmmmmm, why do she wait until I say something before she get off her ass to do her homework?" or "Hmmmm, do she realize tht I'm putting my combat boots on to kick her $%%?" ohhhh and the number 1 drumroll please...........She challenges me when thinking tht I'm always wrong, then finds out tht she should of listened to me in the first place! I tell her all the time my dad always said "NO MAN LOVES A FINE ASS DUMMY!" She teeters on tht boarder line quite often. She constantly in the mirror and why? She can't wear makeup (other than non color lip-gloss) It takes 1 hour to put her hair in a ponytail!!!!
Now she's 14.......she's being a lil more proactive.......with me constantly reminding her.
