I am so grateful that I didn't have to GO anywhere to work today. This was my second night of basically no sleep. Cameron isn't wanting to go to bed until about 11. I start trying to put him down around 8:30-9 and he just fights me for hours. And it never fails, I get him to sleep and am ready to pass out and Connor wakes up. Last night, I finally got Cam to sleep a little after 11 and Connor was still sleeping, so I decided to get some work done and go to bed myself.
I unloaded the dishwasher (very quietly since Con was sleeping downstairs), went to switch the laundry and he woke up. I didn't end up getting to sleep until after 2. Then, my sister decided to call me at 6 to tell me she quit her job (I didn't catch why, because I kept falling back asleep on her) and can't pay her bills. Luckily, I was able to catch a quick nap (about 30 min) so I can take the boys to the doctor without falling asleep there.
I can't imagine having to get up, get ready for work, get the boys up and ready, drop them off at daycare, and go to work. If I worked outside our home, I probably would have called in today. I don't know how moms manage to work outside the home and not go insane from lack of sleep. I have a hard enough time and I set my own hours.

I work nights so i can be home with my 2 year old, i don't know how you stay at homes do it all I try but i like my split shift that i have with my husband. My husband (over my shoulder) says try lavender oil, not the bath stuff but real oil and just put a few drops on their pillows and sing them to lala land... He says its proven by dads all over our group of 10 couples..Great luck to you Super Mom
