Encouragement... and a rebuke... Two sides of the sword...

Dearest Moms, here at Cafe mom,

I recently  removed my personal statement, on a certain "hot topic", because, after reading some of the responces to the "spanking" post, well I'd rather have nothing to do with this particular  topic in this type of forum.

I really was at first rather bummed about "groups", but now, in light of recent post readings, I wonder perhaps if it is  not best to be surrounded by likeminded mommies.

I have a busy day, filled with many things, as most of you,  I come to my computer to be encouraged, chat a few moments, and so forth... As well as to encourage..

I am deeply disturbed by the behavior of some mothers here at cafe mom.  I would love to believe it's just a mom having a rough day, but really, it seems more and more like the same ones, with bad attitudes, hurtful words, and harsh critical judgements on others.

I also am deeply encouraged at some moms, strength, kindness, and careful choosing of words, in the face of such ugliness. BRAVO for you wonderful women.  I admire you for your words, kind meek spirits, that show the true strength of our Spirits.  thank you for being here, and making it, still a place worth coming too.

I'm certainly of no importance, I'm not the most popular, nor the most crass, I'm just little old me, here in suburbia, on a computer in my home.  So I'm sure this will either be ignored and disappear into cyber world, or possibly, highly unlikely will spark yet another drama... though I doubt that very much.

May you all be blessed.  Much good, and much damage can be done in the stroke of a key.   If you've been ugly, perhaps,after reading this,  you will think twice and  reread what you have written before hitting "add post".... And if you've been one of those amazing ladies who are lovely, kind, strong, and gracious, may you be encouraged!  Press on... towards that which is righteous, lovely pure noble and true.

Feb. 8, 2007 at 4:42 PM Yay for encouragement!  I really don't understand the need to degrade any of the other mothers.  If you have different opinions thats fine, but being crass and harsh only makes  that person look bad!
