Fruit flies/gnats.....

Help! I have cleaned the drains, put all the fruit in the fridge, put the bread in the fridgs and the dang things are still everywhere!
The problem was, my 12 yr old does the dishes. She failed to rinse out the sink this weekend, and now I have a swarm of fruit flies in my kitchen! EEeeeeeeew!!!!
How do you get rid of these lil buggers??? I squish as many as I can, and have cleaned everything I can see. Help!!

Hi!
I just happened on your post while "surfing" cafe mom! LOL......... I had this same problem and realized it was the soil of my indoor plants! They are almost impossible to get rid of! I ended up having to put all of my plants outdoors! You can try and replace the soil with sterilized soil.
