First Birthday...Creative Ideas?

Tanners first birthday is coming up this November.  The theme of it is going to be Bugs.  I not the most creative person in the world, so I was wondering if anyone has some good ideas for my theme?  Or maybe you did the same theme for your child, what were some of the things you did?  We are making everthing, so any crafty ideas are appreciated.  So far, I have come up with: A bumble bee shaped cake for Tanner, and cupcakes with "dirt and worms" for everyone else.  I am also going to make a big poster board type dealy with a first year time line around the outside edge, i'll put lots of pictures from birth through 1 year, and everyone who comes to the party has to write something special and sign it.  What you think?

dirt dessert!!!! and put gummie worms in it!!!  if you dont kno how to make it... you mix up chocolate pudding and put it in a bowl and ,ix in crushed oreo cookies with whipped cream on top and sneak gummie worms though out the whole thing!!!

 

but thats just an idea...

Sep. 23, 2007 at 11:56 PM Don't know how much time you have, but you can take starburst candies, microwave them for about 6 or 8 seconds and they become very squishable.  You can make them into bug shapes and use them to decorate just about anything!  My middle son wanted an ocean cake once, and that's how we made the fish.  We even got a mermaid out of it!!!

Hi Moms have a birthday around the cornor?  is it yours?  Your childs? or your partners!  Even the pets can join in.  lol.  Come join the fun.  Have a peice of cake even a scoop of ice cream.
