I am going crazy right now trying to figure this out. I need 4 hours worth of music for my sister's wedding. That is 240 minutes, which is 80 songs at 3 minutes a piece.

We are having 3 fast songs, then 2 slow songs. How many slow and fast songs do I need to get?

HELP!!!

Sep. 26, 2007 at 2:46 PM 48 fast & 32 slow.  But, a lot of songs run over the 3 minute mark, so you'll have to adjust for time.  My advice:  In your media player, start dropping your songs, 3 fast then 2 slow.  Stop when you get to the time limit....it should show totals at the bottom.  Have fun!

Sep. 26, 2007 at 2:48 PM how on earth did you figure that out so fast!?!?!?! I am doing this all through www.projectplaylist.com. I know that some songs will go over 3 minutes, but I don't know how long people are going to stay for the reception. I have 58 songs right now, so now i have to figure out how many of each I currently have and just go from there. It isn't too hard to find songs!!! Thank you for your help! Curious at how you figured that out though!

Sep. 26, 2007 at 2:50 PM It depends on what is happening at the time. Their favorite song for when they are entering the reception, quieter during dinner so people can talk, soft music for when the bride and groom are cutting the cake, tossing bouquets, etc. A special song for when the Bride and Groom have their first dance. And after dinner, get the party started. But make sure that the Bride has the last say on what you choose.

Sep. 26, 2007 at 2:57 PM yeah, she is on board. I have the songs, just need to put them in order. I have a different group of songs for dinner. I guess I should find a song for the cake cutting, and bouqet toss too. The wedding is Saturday...running out of time!!!!!!
