If you haven't bothered to venture up to Humble and wander around Old MacDonald's Farm, you don't know what you're missing. There are different kinds of swings, mounds of dirt for climbing, slides, forts, a ball pit, a one-foot deep pool, teepees, a barn full of hay to jump in, a volleyball sandpit, the EIEIO train to ride as much as you like, lots of covered pavillions and picnic tables, pony rides, but don't forget the animals!

We purchased grain to feed the ducks, emu, turkeys, chickens, pigeons, prairie dogs, sheep, goats, llamas, donkeys, horses, ponies, cow, pot-bellied pigs, kangaroo, peacocks, and free-roaming deer. The deer actually stalked people and nuzzled their hands searching for feed. My daughter loved it. Okay, she's nuts for windmills now. So, she loved the windmill.

She was also deeply hurt that the pumpkin patch was locked. She has a things for pumpkins too. The deal is, during October, any paying person gets a pumpkin.

They have food, drinks, and t-shirts. Shirts are $10. And there's a group deal for groups of 10 or more. That includes mother's groups or birthday parties--$5.50 each. If your group falls short of the big ten, it's $7 each. My two-year old was so tired that she crashed for 3 1/2 hours. Woohoo! What a pay off. And all the activities are included in the cost of your entry fee. Nothing extra to ride the ponies!

Sep. 29, 2007 at 10:34 PM We loved this place too!  Max rode the horse all by himself.  We will definitely go back when it gets a little cooler although the pool was nice in the summer.
