My baby girl's turning one already; Can't believe a year's gone by

No matter how much you cry sometimes, you're still the apple of MY eye

You've learned so many new things this year, even now trying to walk

And there's no greater feeling I've ever gotten, hearing you start to talk

I love the time we spend together, you always make me laugh

I may just have to buy a snorkel for the way you take YOUR baths

I've never been so filled with pride like I am when I see you

For you, my little Princess, there is NOTHING mommy won't do

Your hugs are like a sunny day with cool winds and butterflies

I've never known REAL love til the day I looked in your brown eyes

You've given me so much little one; you can believe it or not

On my weakest, toughest days, baby you're all mommy's got

Even on those days that we bump heads and I lose my cool

I wouldn't trade all the money in the world to keep you AND your drool

The dirty diapers, the sleepless nights, even when you pull my hair

I'll deal with all these things forever just to know that you're still there

There's no horror movie created yet that scares me more than you

Cause if something were to happen to you, I don't know WHAT I'd do

I love you more than life itself and I'd gladly give mine for yours

Hearing you call for "MaMa" touches me right down to my core

But this one day is all for you, for the rest of your wonderful life
