May 1 we found out when bringing our baby to the hospital and having her flight for life to another that she is type 1 diabetes . It was scarry to see her the way she was when we brought her in. Your pancus prodoces insulin to treat the sugar that you eat. Well her body was producing acid and if we would have never brought her in the acid would have taken over her body and ate at your bones. We spend 9 days in the hospital. 2 1/2 hours away from home. They couldn't get her sugar levels to go to where they were suppose to be. Which is 150 when she got brought in she was 489. We have been home a week now and things are great. They have their up and down days some days we need more insulin then others and her mood change well that has changed in every way that you can think of. She still is not talking which makes it hard to understand what she wants. Giving the insulin daily is not a big deal it is but isn't if that makes any sense. I have to watch what she eats every day a number of carbs to how much insulin to give. I think that is the harder part. Well if there is anyone that can give me info on diabetes that will be great. It would be great to have some friends that has a young child
