I am new to this

I am new to this website, but a mom to a 4yr old. As I was setting up an account on here, he whacked himself right between the eyes. He tried to jump over one of his little stools and hit the thick hard glass table. Poor guy, but I told him he needs to be more careful.

About me, I was a single mom for a little while. I didn't start working until my DS was a little over a year. It felt so good to  out of the house ad have adult conversations. Don't get me wrong I loved staying home. The problem was that we  (my ex, my son and I) moved from Dallas to Colorado. Didn't know anyone  lived in the mountains. Plus the father of my DS was not the best of guys (a big drinker and a big smoker...i was neither). It felt good to meet new people at work. I then got my ducks in an order, packed up the ex's stuff and told him to leave.

I met a new guy at where I worked, he actually gave me a ride home after my shift. He was friends with the owner so I felt safe. Well we are now married and he took my son in as his own. We just got married in September of 2006.

I entered this website to meet other moms. Look forward to chatting and exchanging advice!!

Welcome to Cafemom and congatualtions on your new life. I hope it works out for u. I too have a 4yr old, daughter...very challenging right now (she). Hope we can chat soon.
