I'm cleaning out my desk, slowing down on the book promo stuff (thankfully). I'm ready for sweater weather, though, aren't you all?

Took my daughter to her well check-up today--more shots, sigh. How do you weigh in on the flu shot? Not to get political or anything--I used to get it myself every winter because I tend to get bronchitis post flu otherwise, but I haven't had it since getting pregnant....and I think I've had the flu once in 9 years. Hm.

Been trying to spend more time on the bike and walking and less in the minivan. Enough with life behind a wheel! Since when did we sign up to be chauffeurs? Not that my kids are insisting or anything. When we biked to tennis the other day they were both ecstatic--the bike ride was even more fun than the tennis (which was great--informal and fun). My daughter sings on the back of the bike (the trailer-bike thing--she can bike, or not, as she wishes) and counts dogs she spies and my son is proud of his cycling safety skills.

So where's the crisp fall breeze? I put away the summer dresses already!

Oct. 4, 2007 at 3:11 PM It is supposed to hit 90 degrees here over the next couple of days. I like the cooler air but prefer warm weather. I hate winter, but it will be here soon enough. the biking sounds fun.

sounds like you are determined to begin the fall season, good for you!

I wish I could put away the summer clothes and bring out the sweathers, boots and long sleeves BUT here in Fl, they'd be looking at me as if I was nuts and I'd probably start suffering from heat strokes, so, better judgement is going to prevail and will keep the summery clothing around a little longer. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy the cooler weather through my northern cm friends like yourself! ;-)

keep enjoying those bike rides with those adorable little ones as they seem to be enjoying them a great deal!

Oct. 8, 2007 at 11:06 AM I have always been a little sceptical about flu shots...I never got one until a couple years ago and I survived somehow. My husband usually gets them free at work, and I have always had my daughter get one "just in case".
