I am getting so excited for Aiden's birthday party tomorrow! For those who are asking, his ACTUAL birthday isn't until the 11th, but we are doing the party this weekend! He will just have an excuse to celebrate and get presents longer! LOL!
Anyway, i decided on doing an Elmo/Harvest theme. It is going to be too cute! I found a bunch of really cute fall decorations to use and of course, the Elmo party stuff. I ordered the cake and they are going to put Elmo on it with some fall leaves as decorations. It's going to be too cute! My best friend, Sara, has a passion for decorating so she has offfered to help since i'm sure it's going to be a challenge getting everything ready with a toddler running around! LOL! I am so hoping he will take a nap in the morning before the party. Please cross your fingers for me! LOL! The party is at 2 p.m.
It is pretty much going to be all of our immediate family (including grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins) and a few close friends. Everyone is pitching in on the food so that makes it nice! I still spent about $100 at the grocery store last night! What is up with that?! LOL! It's almost more work preparing your own party then just going out to eat or something! LOL! Oh well, i know it will be fun and we can decorate however we want and take as long as we want! We rented the clubhouse that is in our condos and we are going to have it all day! I am planning on the party lasting about 2 1/2 hours, but of course, we will see how everything goes! I am going to do my best to stay on schedule since we will have toddlers and older children there! I know they can only last so long! LOL! I figure once we are done with all of the actiivities and presents and everything, whoever wants to leave can and those that want to stay and hang out can do that too! I know i plan on relaxing after all this planning! LOL!
Some of the food that we are having is: a BUNCH of fruit (strawberries, grapes, bananas, pears, oranges, cantalope, apples & watermelon!), a vegetable tray, baby carrots, cut-up cucumbers, meat & cheese sandwiches (for the adults), PB & J sandwiches (for the kids), chili, zucchini bread, hot apple cider, sparkling apple cider, juice (for the kids), soda, water, cheese & crackers, spinach dip & bread, chips & dip, pumpkin bread, & other snacks! I am also going to make some caramel apples tonight! Yummy! It's my first stab at it, so wish me luck! LOL! Of course, we're having cake & icecream too!
I just can't wait but i've got so much to do still, LOL! I'm about to leave work now and am going to get my nails done, then to take Aiden for his haircut appt. He's going to look so handsome!!!
Happy 2nd Birthday to my baby!!! I can't believe it!! *sniff* He's growing too fast!!!
