I need help.......

I was wondering about getting my tubes tied and I wanted to know some feedback from moms who have done it.  Or if I should do a in plant.  Because I have had problems with other birth control.  But I have three wonderful children and my husband and I are done having children and I wanted to get me fixed because no matter what IM DONE having children.  So anything helps PLEASE!!!

How long have you known you are done having children?  I only ask because I am a mommy to 4 beautiful boys, my oldest are twins and age 9, my next is 7, and then 3.  I found out in January 2006 that I was pregnant again.  I was dead set against having another child, as was my husband.  When i went for my first exam, I learned it was an ectopic pregnancy.  I went into surgery and the tube almost ruptured, so it was removed, and I told the doc. to tie the other tube.  WORST DECISION of my life!  The procedure was painful (but tolerable), but afterwards I thought, ok, so now this is permanent.  I guess if that is for certain what you are looking for, why not.  It's a year and a half later and I am SO sorry I did it!  I got pregnant on birth control a couple of times and when I look back, I see how that is God's intervention in my life.  I wish I wouldn't of had it done.  But, as far as not getting pregnant, it's an effective procedure.
