Now, you might think that would be a quote from my fourth grader.

NOPE!

It's from my six-year-old.  My baby girl!  My first grader!!!!!

Shocked

She said it and I about passed out.  She's WAY too young to be thinking about boys that way!!!

Turns out she heard this "expression" from the next door neighbor.

If I tell DH she said this, he won't let her out of his sight! ;-)

((((SIGH))))

I thought I had a few more years to worry before becoming boy-crazy set in.

Oct. 9, 2007 at 10:55 AM La-la-la-la I can't hear you. I'm chosing to live in ignorant bliss for now.  Either that or I'll have a husband building the "innocence cave" he'll try to keep Meg in for the next 20 years of her life. ha!

i have a 2nd gr boy who informs me that a certain girl has a "crush" on him!  he asked what that means...for now he thinks it means that she has to chase him around the playground.

what bothers me is other moms who i run into that seem to push this crazy phenomenon along......one mom was encouraging actual "dates" for the 2nd graders...innocent but please....i am with everyone else and just trying to ignore the whole thing.  seems that some of the moms around here want to hurry them along and get them coupled up soon!  ahhh.

on the other hand, i think that i'd rather have my son innocently being chased by girls on the playground that have him mixed up with the bad boys in 2nd gr who sport mohawks and spit every 5 seconds!

Ahhh...I'm choosing to ignore this to.  But, I must admit that I remember "thinking" about boys at a very young age.  I wish it wasn't so, but I liked boys way too young!

Paula - dates in the second grade?  A little crazy, I think!
