This is somewhat of a rant my husband emailed out and blogged this morning. He asked me to share it here so more people get the message!!
It is time to stop hitting the snooze button America. Our government is systematically fucking us day by day and deteriorating the fibers of freedom that originally stitched our country together. If the over taxation of the American people is not enough, we have multiple threats to our liberty in our legislative system as we speak. STOP looking at our government as a two party system because they only differ on surface issues like abortion, gay marriage, the war in Iraq, healthcare etc. Both wings of the government are working toward making the American people into cattle. If you have not heard of "The Real ID Act" the "North American Union" the "N.A.F.T.A. Super Highway" or our polititians goals for globalization you need to do some research. The "Real ID Act" is one of our biggest enemies to our liberty and freedom that we face right now. This ID will contain an R.F.I.D. chip which will contain all of your financial information, your D.N.A. information your fingerprints and a retina scan. If you do not accept this ID you will no longer be able to have a job, have a bank account, ride on any public transportaion such as buses, cabs, airplanes and trains. If you leave your home without it and are caught you could very well be arrested as a suspected "terrorist" which is a word thrown around by our current polititians to scare the american people into compliance. You will also require this ID card to purchase ANYTHING, and major corporations are working on chipping all of their products so they know who buys what and where they take it. Think this is a conspiracy theory, or do you think like so manny that "Our government would never do that". WELL THINK AGAIN, THEY ARE DOING IT AS YOU READ THIS, JUST BEHIND A CURTAIN OF MEDIA THAT ONLY TELLS YOU WHAT THE GOVERNMENT WANTS YOU TO KNOW. Our government is nothing but a fear slinging behemoth of money power and ultimately CONTROL!!! We are slowly turning into a police state as our officers are being supplied with millitary equipment, and the fact that our millitary now has the ability to police the country. This is one of the biggest threats to our freedom because as they gain more power over us we lose more power over them. I ask, when all of our police are walking the streets with assault rifles, night vision, and highly volital ordinance at their disposal, who will control who. Are not the people supposed to control the government, then why is the government working so damn hard to control the people. WE NEED TO WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT WE HOLD THE TRUE POWER AMERICA. If you don't like what your government is doing then get up and DO SOMETHING!!! Information is our greatest weapon, and if we as a nation get up, get out, talk to people, and even so much as organize marches to flood our state capital buildings and our nations capital with pissed off americans then THEY WILL HAVE TO LISTEN TO US. Not only are they taking away our liberty but they are also giving some of it to our Illegal aliens. Look at the dream act which I believe is pending a vote in the senate, it will give ILLEGAL immigrants under the age of 18 automatic citizenship and COLEGE FUNDING!!!! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! WE ARE THE ONES WHO SHOULD GET THAT MONEY IF ANYONE, AND THEY ARE GOING TO GIVE IT TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. AND I STRESS THE WORD ILLEGAL!!!!! We have come to a point where we are rewarding those who are breaking our laws, but over penalizing our own people for pathetic crimes and flooding our prisons with people who should not be there (ex. non-violent hippie potheads). So do me a favor, look into what our government is doing. STAND UP AND SPEAK OUT. Call your senators, congressmen, and governors. Even hold protests on issues that you are passionate about, and don't let anyone stand in your way. It's not to late yet america, we can defeate the machine and give the real power back to the people. It's time for another REVOLUTION, but instead of picking up a gun, pick up a pen and make your voice heard!!!!.

With all do respect, I do not care what snopes says.In may 2008 they will issue an the Real Id, and it will not be inplantable this is true. But there is much talk about making it implantable with all the bells in whisels both in eroupe and here. There are already trials out there with a couple in I believe FL (I may be wrong about the state). Look up RFID. Montreal_Mom this only debunks the fact that it will be implanted in the hand which the poster doesn't say is going to happen. The fact is you can research legislation that has passed regarding the Real ID. Guiliani has said in his own presidential comments at debates that he is all for the National ID. So I am not sure what posting about snopes did you intend to debunk? This here is the link to Wikipedia and it describes in detail what the Real ID is. This states that it is used to deter terrorism which is the buzz word that gets all Americans excited that the government is looking out for them. However Hitler told the Jews that he required papers too for their own protection and good and we know that that got them.
I addressed only the Real ID since that is the specific link that you provided. If there are any questions to the validity of the others please feel free to state what they are and I or someone else will post the information for you to research on your own.
