About 15 years ago, I went into a Bon Marche bargain basement to buy a purse and had less than $20 to spend. I hadn't been in a department store for over five years, and when I was looking at all the purses and trying to decide on one, I started to cry.  Made up my mind to never let that happen again, so at least three times a year, I pick up a new (to me) purse from somewhere like Goodwill or other second hand store.  LOL....

I'd probably go for the winter shoes, too.  Otherwise I would go for something to upgrade my computer, or  get a good radio....So I am giving this more thought  as  I  started posting this .....

I  really need  tires for my car, they are on the last  rotation....and other car repair,  radiator is leaking.  Need a TV upgrade.  Really need a down comforter,  the one  I  have  has totally lost it's  puff...seventeen years old  now.  Been  thru a lot of  duvet covers!  I want a new couch, would really like a recliner.  I could keep spinning these thoughts, but better stop.  I think the idea here is to decide what is the most important one item TODAY.

I really  shouldn't  have started to contemplate  this  situation.

Oct. 12, 2007 at 4:03 AM Exactly, that's why we have been without a bunch of things we need for so long....Even at church, discussion was about prayer, and praying like what we want to happen has happened, OUR OWN choice, and that the appropiate method is "tell the Lord" what you want!?!?  I don't make up my mind about things to tell Him either, I leave the lead to Him to orchestrate my life......What's that? I am just not UP to the minute there.

I was just rereading my statements above. Guess what I noticed.? For one, that was 2007! Yeah, it's 2009 now!

Last fall I found at Goodwill or Value Village, two pairs of boots. One black, fur lined with the slightest wedge heel, comfy and easy to put on, and beige boots, fur lined, great for snow, or around the house this cold, cold winter.

I have a different computer, an upgrade, and new monitor.  Upgrade to my cable TV, and with great radio stations.

New tires on my car in the fall, Sept 2008.

Car radiator is fixed. That happened in Nov. 2007.

I have a new couch, and an easy chair.Nov. and Dec. 2007.

Every thing that I mentioned in the above list has graced my palms!

My grandson told me he wanted a Fonzi leather coat, and less than two weeks later, I found one while looking for something else, it was $12, perfect fit, it was dark brown instead of black. He loved it, and paid me back!

I didn't buy the couch, or pay for the car repair or tires, something happened in most cases to move the items into my environment.

I am recognizing this kind of thing happening with everything.  The year and a half that has taken place since I typed that statement has seemed like only a few weeks, time isn standing still, that's for sure.

Made it through this winter, a veryhappy new year 2009 cold one, without a heater in my car. I'm working on that. I feel like I need to start another good list!  Let me think, I'll start a new post as soon as I get a hold on my new desires....
