I hope that today...I have the courage to finally tell my parents I'm pregnant. I'm 21. I'm a grown up. It shouldn't be this hard. But it truly is the hardest thing that I've ever faced. Its the only thing about my pregnancy that still terrifies me. Please pray for me and my fiancee that we have the strength to just come out with it and tell them.

Oct. 11, 2007 at 8:40 AM Take a deep breath, and tell them and then wait for the 'fall out'  ....and I swear to you once the fall out occurs and the dust settles your parents are going to be thrilled and so excited!  Two of my daughters got pregnant last year.. (25 yrs old and 19 yrs old)....the fall out for the 19 year old was way worse....my 25 yr old is pretty independent and lives in Florida on her own anyway and is doing well financially...but once the dust settled......and the family had to accept the baby, WELL he is just the cutest , most adorable little baby boy ~! He is 2 months old now and our prince!

you can do it. just prepare yourself for any possible reaction and give them a couple days to let it sink in for a positive reaction. maybe send them flowers with a letter and put in the letter call me or stop by when you can support me with a positive reaction. (i'm always looking for the easy way)

I was married 28 and still was scared to tell my parents. how silly is that?  good luck and congratulations!

my darling! you shouldn't have to be ashamed that you are with child! i honestly and truly hope that you do tell them. tell them with the biggest smile and the biggest excitment, because this is your baby!!!

just be aware that they don't HAVE to accept it. and if they don't it's not the end of the world. the most important lesson i've learned is that my baby and my husband are my world. we are our own family now.

good luck!! be strong!!

Oct. 15, 2007 at 2:27 PM I totally understand what your going through.   I was terrified to tell my parents when i was pregnant.  It wasn't easy... but they got used to the idea.  Now that Lily is here, they are so excited to be grandparents!  Give it time, and remember to be happy.  This is a wonderful thing... everything will eventually fall in line.  Life has a funny way of happening all on it's own!  Hang in there!

Jun. 13, 2008 at 11:22 PM Although kids are getting pregnant pretty young these
days, I have never heard of a 10 yo having a baby! Not saying it isn't possible but...maybe people should read a little more thoroughly before typing a response LOL love ya! By the way, it was awesome having you as my matron of honor!
