Zoe is in the hospital

So yesterday at the doctor, due to dehydration and another 1/2 a pound weight loss, Zoe was sent to the hospital. Doctors believed that a night of IV fluids would be the miracle turn-around. She is completely hydrated and is showing no signs of improvement so things are moving towards finding an answer. They have determined that it is not viral as no one else in the family is sick and she has not been running a fever. This morning she had decreased bowel sounds so they have a gastro doc who is running tests to see if there is an obstruction. If that is ruled out the next specialist to see her will be an infectious disease doctor. They have told us that she will not be leaving the hospital until they know what is going on. I am taking a minute to check computer while she and brother are napping. I will pass on any further information next time a get second. Again, thank you for your prayers and well wishes. It means a lot to us.

Oct. 11, 2007 at 7:31 PM I was hoping to hear better news from you but at least it's a start. I really can't even imagine what you guys are going through and my heart breaks for you and your family. As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I really hope they can figure out what's wrong and that Zoe will be back to her happy, active little self giggling and playing soon.

I will keep praying for her and I hope you get answers soon! My heart just aches for little Zoe! The poor little thing!
