HORRIBLE 3 YEAR OLD!!!

OKAY PEOPLE. IS IT JUST ME OR DOES GOING FROM THE TERRIBLE 2 STAGE MEAN YOUR GONNA GET A HORRIBLE 3 NOW? WELL CHRIS IS NOW 3 YEARS OLD. AND I AM AT MY ENDS WITH HIM. HE DOESN'T LISTEN HE ALWAYS WANTS TO FIGHT WITH YOU. HE TALKS BACK REALLY BAD, HE THROWS HIMSELF DOWN ALL THE TIME. HE WON'T LISTEN WHEN YOU TELL HIM TO PLEASE PUT YOUR SHOES ON OR WHATEVER IT MIGHT BE. IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. I ABOUT CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE. I AM SO SICK OF IT.

 HE GETS TO START PRESCHOOL MONDAY SO MAYBE THAT WILL HELP? I SURE HOPE SO WHAT IF IT DOESN'T? THEN WHAT DO I DO? THE DOCTOR TOLD ME TO WAIT 6 MONTHS. BUT I CAN'T I MEAN IT'S EVEN SO BAD HE SPITS EVERYWHERE. IT IS UNREAL. I AM GOING TO LOOSE MY MIND.

 I GOTTA GO HE IS SCREAMING NOW. HE SCREAMS SO LOUD ITS UNREAL. PLEASE HELP.

Oct. 12, 2007 at 5:07 PM sound slike my boy.....he's going to be four this month, and I still have a hard time with him melt downs ....it's hard to g et him to listen half the time....before it was everyday that he would have 3-4 hour melt downs/tantrums........i found that sometimes with my son...telling him to keep screaming cause that'sgoing to help will get him to stop lol..other times i ask him why he's crying and he'll calm down enough to say and then we figure it out fromthere..... good luck to you

Oct. 12, 2007 at 5:08 PM You need to take a deep breath and step out of you and and into his shoes with him so to speak. Talk with him and not to him. Stay right by his side and do everything with him. Help him when he needs help and just stick with him thru everything. Dont let him get a few feet away. Do this for a couple of days and I promise you he will be a new child. Give him lots of hugs and tell him you love him. I had to do this with my daughter and she is a totally different child now. My dad used to say she was prison bound but not anymore! Good Luck I wish you all the best!!!

Oct. 20, 2007 at 9:47 AM I love the above response because the number one thing to get him to stop is to give him lots of attention. Not his way all the time to make him shut up..........lol lol thats the trap we all tend to fall into cause we are tired, have little to no time and need some quiet. I have several kids ..........all of which have been three.......lol I have one two and a half year old..........so here we go again...............but you just talk CALMLY. BE CALM. AND GIVE HIM ATTENTION..........BUT when he spits , put him in time out three minutes......he gets up, put him back............calmly........over and over and over again. . . EVERY SINGLE TIME HE SPITS .............CHOOSE YOUR BATTLES.......and again praise him for any tiny thing he IS DOING RIGHT...and your baby will turn out great..............and you both will be happier............God Bless You...............love Julie
