OPPERATION BINKY DROP!

We are taking away the Binky from my 3yr old son!!! We have decided he is Potty Trained now he can handle being a big boy without his binky krutch! OMG Let the Screams begin....This is probably the most tramatizing thing for him....It's like we are taking away a limb or a best friend! I am told it only takes like 3 days but I am thinking this road is going to be long and hard!!!!

Oct. 12, 2007 at 6:58 PM well when my daughter was about to turn 2 I knew she understood , so I walked her to the trash can and told her that big girls dont use yahyers,(pacifiers)  and she didnt cry.  She asked for it a few times and at nap and bed times it was a little difficult cuz she would ask over and over for it and we just kept reminding her that we threw them inthe trash.  Since she did it herself she remembered.  Then she would stop and eventually forgot about it.  My 2nd daughter did not like the binkie.  She refused it since birth.  It was harder to keep her quiet but it was probably better that she didnt like it

Oct. 13, 2007 at 3:40 PM I never started the binkie because I knew my kids would be 10 walking around with one in their mouths. It is so hard taking things they love from them. That is why Bub was 2 and still drinking from a bottle before bed! I wish you good luck! When we took the bottle from Bub he screamed everynight for a week. Stay strong.
