I wrote a post a few days ago about my son who is special needs and throws terrible trantums and how people stare at me .  I had wrote that I feel like such a bad mom because people stare and I feel judged all the time, but oh my goodness...I cant believe all the special women who responded just to try and help and make me feel better..they dont even know me, but yet they want to help me and show concern.  How awesome cafemom is.  You moms are so supportive and I am just in tears for the overwelming response to my post.  I honestly was just writing it to vent my feelings and didnt really expect anyone to respond, but All I can say is thank you to all who cared enough to respond and if you didnt respond but maybe said a slient prayer for me..THANK YOU.  You never know whose heart you will touch today just by being the caring women you are.  What might not seem like a big deal to you might mean the world to someone else. I hope I can be as supportive as you all have been to me.....

My mom has told me that when God gives us children with special needs he knows that we are the angels that he has made and God knows that we are strong enough to handle any problem that comes our way. You know what I love?  Being with each other makes you realize that we are not alone and that our kids are not as different as we think!  Remember one thing as you raise him-  Our children are as unpredictable as life, and that , just as in life, there will be many, many good days and a few bad ones thrown in there, too.  Would I change the fact that Dillon is autistic?  ABSOLUTELY!!!!  But that's only one part of him, it isn't who he is.  And I wouldn't change who he is for anything!  Being autistic can be a great thing- Dillon could NEVER lie, cheat, steal, or hold a grudge....  When he loves you, he gives his whole heart, just like your son.  Some days you'll realize, you are so lucky!!!!!!!  As always, I am here to help in any way I can....
