We still don't know what is wrong with her but she is doing much better.  Yesterday she had several biopsies of her esophagus, colon and intestines.  We will have the results on Tuesday.  More x-rays, CT scans and blood work has been done that all show that things are pretty normal.  There was a bit of a disagreement between her nurses and her docs on whether or not she should have come home today but she is eating, playing and showing attitude so we thought she might perk up a lot at home.  We will have follow up appointments with a couple of doctors this week and hope to have some answers.  Definitely hope that she continues to improve.

Thank you all so much for your prayers, thoughts, offers of assistance and kind words.  We appreciate greatly the outpouring of positive thoughts for our baby girl.

Oct. 14, 2007 at 8:07 PM I'm so sorry for what you're going through. It brings back a lot of memories for me. Has Zoe seen a cardiologist? When my daughter was 2 months old, I could have told your exact story. Turns out she had a heart problem called Wolfe Parkinson White Syndrome (It was fixed when she was 10). It causes an extrememly rapid heart rate, only when the doctors checked, it was normal, but it caused her to not be getting enough oxygen, and she slept constantly, wouldn't eat-spit up anything she did. The only reason they realized it was the heart was because, i sent for the doctor while she was in the hospital because she was shaking (I had told them about this-they never saw it-so checked for seizures) when he came and checked her he saw her heart was going extremely fast and sent for a cardiologist, and then we had our answer. So the symptoms Zoe is exibiting may not shout heart problem to doctors, but it may be a possibility.  Best of Luck and I'll keep Zoe and your family in my prayers.

Oct. 16, 2007 at 7:06 AM So glad that she's home and feeling better!  I hope that she continues to heal, and that you can figure out what the problem was... That's always scary not knowing what's going on when the kiddies are sick.
