So a little while back our van broke down and we didn't have any money to fix it or even tow it so my FIL called a friend of his that knows cars and said that they would take care of it. So his friend came and towed our van to where my FIL was staying and said that he would work on it. Well, my FIL had some kind of falling out with his mechanic friend. Whatever. He says that he will take care of it as soon as he gets around to it. Supposedly it was something really small that needed to be replaced, I can't remember what the thing is called. My husband bought the part and took it to him. Well, he never did any work to the van. Fine but he kept blowing us off about trying to get the van back so that we could at least try to do it ourselves. He keeps saying he will take care of it.

My FIL called and told us that he moved off the land he was living on, that belonged to a friend of his who was also living there at the time, they are not so friendly anymore BUT that it is okay for the van to sit there and that he will go over there and we can move it when he gets the time. My husband's cousin, who knows the guy who's property the van was sitting on, said he would go with my hubby to get the van because his father will not answer our phone calls. Jason, his cousin, goes over there alone just to talk to the guy about them coming to get it later and guess what! He had it towed! Apparently it wasn't kosher for our van to be sitting over there. We contacted the people that have it and we owe $260 that we don't have and every day that it is there it costs us 25 more dollars. Now I have to put that on a credit card, which is going to max it out, and will raise my monthly payments even more!

I am mad at my FIL but I think I am even more mad at my hubby because I have been trying to get him to take care of the situation for a while and he kept blowing it off. Plus I am mad at myself for letting that van even go near my FIL because he is not a good person, he has a bad drug problem and part of me knew that he wouldn't come through. BUT my hubby wanted me just to let it go because his dad really wanted to help us! Well, he did. He helped us see the light, that he hasn't and will not ever change! Oh, by the way did I mention that there was 2 other cars there that got towed and they were both stolen! Why am I not surprised.....
