I'm new to this website, and I guess I'm just tryin to connect with people. I've recently become a stay at home from working full time, and I'm becoming a little stir crazy. I have a two year old daughter and I'm due in about 2 weeks with my son. So, I'm trying to make new friends, and get some aadvice fro raising little boys. I didn't have any trouble with my daughter, but I have NO IDEA what to do for my son. I didn't have any brothers or a father growing up, so I'm a little clueless when it omes to little boys. I mean, I get my daughter a doll or something frilly, and she's all happy, but what about a boy? I'm probably freaking out about this more than I should. Hopefully it's the normal pre-birth hormonal freak out.

Feb. 13, 2007 at 7:40 PM boys are totally wired different.  Girls want to build things, while boys want to tear them down and run over them.  I grew up with a single mom and 5 sisters, so I know what you are talking about!

Feb. 13, 2007 at 9:58 PM I have 2 little boys, and they are WONDERFUL-- I wouldn't know what to do with a girl!  They're 4 1/2 and 16 months so I haven't gotten to the worms in the pockets phase yet.  Boys are definitely very physical-- they don't stop unless they're asleep.  But they're both very sweet and loving.  Just go with the flow-- just like any kid you'll learn what he likes.  I don't think either gender is tougher than the other-- just very different.  Good luck!
