I just don't know what to do!! My husband is  Such a work-a-holic!!! I dont know if its affecting me b/c I stay at home or what. But I just feel so torn about it sometimes!!! I love this man more than anything, and I don't want to lose him. But it bothers me that he is not set toward what I believe is more important which is our family. Which if you ask him he'll say its all for the family and the "things" we need!!! Well whatever, call me simple or what you will but THINGS don't make a crap to me!!! I've seen both sides of the spectrum b/c we were poor when I was a young child & then my parents came into alot of money & became quite wealthy. I can honestly say I was probably happier in the less wealthy days!! It wasn't all about money & all the things we could get. It was about family & how we stuck together in hard times ya know.I just don't know how to convey that to my husband.I feel like everytime I bring it up he thinks I'm just being silly & it comes out all wrong. The only reason it bothers me is b/c its starting to have an effect on our children. I just see alot of me in them. My father used  to work from home but it was still a battle to get in any Q.T w/him. I guess it would be different if maybe he were a jerk or something, b/c then maybe I wouldn't have cared as much. That wasn't the case though b/c my dad was always a wonderful man just super engulfed in his work. Well, i see alot of the same thing here. I just don't want them to start acting out to get any kind of attention from him cause that's what i did w/my dad. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! So frustrating.

Isn't it amazing how we marry our dads?  I guess it's because we're attracted to those who are familiar.  I wish I had some advice but I know that men associate working hard for those they love with... love for those they work hard for.  Perhaps you could try making a date with him and your family, get it on his date book.  You will want to go slowly though because this is his lifestyle.

Hopefully someone else will have better advice.  Take care.
